Tasting notes
The wine has an intense and deep ruby red color with purple reflections. To the nose we recognize intense aromas of plum and violet with a minty note on the finish. The taste is round and full-bodied, velvety and elegant.
The sommelier's advice
We recommend to consume the Montefalco Rosso DOC at a temperature of 18º C, with an early opening of the bottle. It goes well with structured dishes, pork or game.
Recipe and processing
Grapes Sangiovese and other red grape varieties; vinification in steel with selected yeasts; alcoholic fermentation in steel; malolactic fermentation in steel; aging in barrique for 8 months and in bottle for 6 months.

sulla chiave di volta della porta della casa padronale.
La raccolta anticipata delle uve, idonee a donare al
mosto più acidità e l’attenta vinificazione a bassa
temperatura permette di scolpire un vino dal profilo
vocato per la rifermentazione in autoclave con
affinamento sui lieviti per diversi mesi, ottenendo
una cuvée di grande fragranza al profumo e dal
delicatissimo perlage.

REFINEMENT

The Vallagarina valley, on the right and
left banks of the River Adige, on the
best exposed sites in the hills between
Rovereto and Avio. The vineyards are
located on loose sand and gravel soils
are the foot of glacial fans or on
coarse-grained morainal sediment
with poor moisture retention. The area
enjoys a continental climate with fairly
harsh winters and hot summers with
large differences between day and
night temperatures.
In the heart of Tuscany’s Maremma zone, on volcanic soils, the Vermentino grape shows at its very best in this zesty and lively wine.
