Colore rosso rubino di media intensità. Il profumo è vinoso, caratteristico, gradevole e delicato, ricorda i frutti che maturano in zona: ciliegie, marasche e prugne. Il sapore è asciutto, di buon corpo, amarognolo, sapido e armonico, accattivante per la nota pungente dello zenzero, tipica nei vini Nicolis. È il vino ideale per il pasto completo di tutti i giorni, non appesantisce, nel pasto veloce di mezzogiorno. Provocante ma da provare con anguille e pesci grassi, non ha eguali con la pizza.
