Il Rosso di Montalcino, vivace, fresco e di facile beva, viene spesso interpretato come inferiore al fratello maggiore Brunello, noi lo vediamo altrettanto piacevole e delizioso nel contesto di un vino quotidiano. Il Casisano Rosso di Montalcino proviene da vigne più giovani piantate durante il recupero e sistemazione di vigneti abbandonati nel 2015. Un invecchiamento più breve limita l’evoluzione, ma ci permette di godere le qualità dell’annata senza l’attesa e senza il tannino astringente di un Brunello giovane.
DESCRIZIONE SENSORIALE
Rosso rubino intenso e di bella trasparenza. Bouquet complesso che ricorda la violetta, la prugna e i piccoli frutti rossi, uniti a delicati sentori di spezie. Al gusto è secco, con un gradevole equilibrio tra tannini e acidità. Finale fresco e persistente.
PROVENIENZA
Podere Casisano, a 480 m s.l.m da vigneti a cordone speronato con esposizione sud-est molto ventilata, su terreno di varie origini, ricco di scheletro e galestro.
VINIFICAZIONE E AFFINAMENTO
Macerazione: tradizionale sulle bucce per 12 giorni. Affinamento di 8 mesi in botti di rovere di Slavonia e da una sosta in bottiglia di 6 mesi.
ABBINAMENTI
La freschezza e la buona struttura lo rendono versatile a tavola. Ottimo per esaltare primi piatti con sughi di carne, grigliate di carne rossa, salumi e formaggi.
