Description
PIAN DELLE VIGNE ANTINORI: ROSSO DI MONTALCINO DOC
The Rosso di Montalcino Pian delle Vigne Antinori is a DOC wine produced with Sangiovese grapes from the Pian delle Vigne estate, owned by the Antinori family. Vinification involves 8-10 days of maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged in large wooden barrels, which give the wine elegance and complexity.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese.
Aging: 12 months in large wooden barrels.
Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red, the nose displys a fruity bouquet with hints of cherry, plum, and spice. Balanced flavor, with soft tannins and a lingering finish.
Pairings: Perfect with red meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It also pairs well with first courses with meat sauces.
Why choose it: An excellent representation of Sangiovese di Montalcino, produced by one of the most prestigious families in the Italian wine scene.
The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking for over six centuries since 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member, of the “Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri”, the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild.
